Visitors to St Mark’s
Thanks to a grant from the Listed Places of Worship Roofing Fund, considerable renovation work has taken place on St. Mark’s roof. Work has included the retiling of the north face of the nave, chancel and vestry roof, as well as the Lady Chapel, with associated leadwork and repairs to rainwater goods.
We extend a warm welcome to anyone who wishes to visit St Mark's. We are next door to St Mark's Primary School. Our nearest postcode is TN22 4HY. The church is open for visitors all day between 9:30am (approx) and dusk.

As you can see the church is visible alongside the A272. Approaching from the Buxted, continue along the A272 until you see the village sign for Hadlow Down and the church on your left. Just after the church there is a sharp left turn along School Lane. There is parking available in School Lane. The church is signposted to the left, past the school playground.
Approaching from the direction of either Mayfield or Heathfield, you will quite soon reach the village of Hadlow Down. As you catch a glimpse of the church on the right, you will need to take the turning right along School Lane just before the church. There is parking available in School Lane.
The church is normally open daily from about 9:30 am to dusk for visitors. There are facilities for private prayer in the Lady Chapel. Prayer cards are available if required. A free Visitor's Guide is available inside the door.
